Winter Light

Light:   weighing in on some invisible scale in space
Brings a balance; buoy the soul; aerates body.

Were those attributes permanent,
Wouldn't we waltz?

In the surround of an aura,
Whether from another human
Or ground from our grist of ideas,
Were we one-to-one...
In that light, one would feel lightened.

Compassion and Empathy Paired as Pockets

I thought about your word: compassion and when I read it ...my thoughts sought out the word empathy to join yours.

In further thought, I felt the two words are quite paired, nearly equivalents, and holding them simultaneously brought this image:  it is a female one and I will hypothesize a male one....BUT in our little pinafores of yore [childhood dresses with bibbed aprons] on would tuck a treasure in one pocket and them perhaps in the other on the pinafore's front.

So would compassion go into one and empathy slipped into the other.  Yes/ to be drawn upon and distributed as one might choose.

So for a male's version of this image...I would suggest that a pair of trousers with really deep and well-tailored pockets would be the receptacles for these words:   and in larger scope~ the emotions of compassion and empathy.

Sadly, so many pockets of our contemporaries are vacant....even more rare, I supposition, will be pockets of the Gen"X"ers, and generations scaling downward even less...as the embedding of feelings and emotions requires mental processing....mulling and absorption......activities that are even more rare!
