My viewing life's unfolding, with the ongoing convolutions of sad and bad and great and superlative in the year numbered 2008. My anticipation and monitoring this Olympic Year had begun years ago. Global gatherings for sport and cultural exchanges are exquisite and engaging for me.
In visiting China in 2006 my observations filled me with imagery and patterns of behavior in that country and the trip shapes my current study of the pace and progress of the Games, that country, the larger world as I am experiencing my ration.
The diminished span of time that many delightful tasks or necessary toils receive as the compression of free time erodes the segment of our lives during which we can mull facts; rethink conversations; and design our dreams!
One can but attempt to manage the hours flow and divert a desired chunk of minutes to a task or person or focus or simple musing!
