Open for Transformation

It is the easy view that in your locale
You stand [or sit] alone.
Yes, in that remoteness
There is smugness and that is a cloak that wraps well,
especially when one’s bones chill from trauma or emotional savagery
From the world; from one’s lover; from family’s snare.

So snugly one rests or hides or resides,
[name any definition of your state of existence]
And there one squats,
Weighing choices,
Brewing plans,
Contemplating, not only the navel,
But the skeleton and sinews of being.

Then or better observed, when
Some penetrating occurrence
Punctures one’s stance or setting,
One must react.

Ah, the opportunity to become:
More
Bigger
Enriched
Diminished
Intoxicated
Encouraged
Transformed

Make certain that such knocks
Are knockings on the mind’s door
That bring both transformation’s energy
And OPEN the gate to one’s positive evolution.

The sensing and awareness we each must muster to evolve must be ceaseless in their application. do not go into a stupor.
